There are piles all over my room. I have a spot for things I'm definitely bringing to Mexico (which, of course, is accompanied by a list of things to be added to that pile once they're not in use here - camera, glasses, etc.); one for things I'd like to bring if I have room (with another list, natch); and one of things that I know I won't bring, but I can't think about leaving behind yet (like all of my Spanish textbooks). Not to mention that I'm also trying to pack for the two trips to Colorado that I'll be making before I fly off into the sunset in January. It's kind of making me crazy.
I checked out a novel about Pancho Villa from the library yesterday, but I have to finished the stupid Twilight series before I can read anything worthwhile. My goal is to be in serious Mexico mode by Christmas.
Yesterday I got some bad news: My cell phone won't work in Xalapa. At least, the lady who works at Alltel doesn't THINK it LOOKS like it would. So, whatever, I don't THINK it LOOKS like I will be bringing my phone. I might get a cell phone while I'm down there. It mostly depends on whether or not my host family has internet in the house. I downloaded Skype (sierra.hostetler) this morning in hopes that things will work out nicely for me.
I still haven't picked a seminar topic. I mean, I've done some brainstorming and have narrowed it down to a few things, but mostly I'm just expecting something to fall into my lap this semester. It's too hard to know what kind of resources I'll have to make a final decision right now.

You make me feel so unprepared. Whatever, I have tons of time.
ReplyDeleteOh, Sierra. You and your lists.
ReplyDeleteYou and your lists are perfect. Maybe you should watch that Packing for Beginners tape we made this summer...
