Heading Out

This is how the next few days are supposed to go down: I'll be flying out of Wichita early Thursday morning and will arrive in Mexico City that afternoon. Upon arrival I am to get a 90 day tourist visa – not a student visa, which I’ll apply for after I’ve registered for classes in Xalapa.

From el Aeropuerto Internacional de México, the BCA group will take a bus for the 1 ½ hour drive to Cuernavaca. I won't meet my Cuernavaca host family until Sunday afternoon. During that two day gap I'll be doing orientation at Universal, the language school. Hopefully I won’t have to retake a language placement test (I still haven’t gotten my results from the one I took in November), although my Spanish has slipped during break and a new test may be in order.

I wouldn't say that I'm ready to go, but I'm not going to get any more prepared and I'm getting kind of stir-crazy. Plus, all of my wikipedia-ing and google maps-ing has made me rather excited!
